Jazzmania is the Jazz Party of the Year, with great live jazz from some of the city's finest musicians.

This year's featured artist is the world class saxophonist Kirk Whalum.

Kirk is a former Board member and teacher at the Jazz Workshop, who'll be returning to Nashville for this special one-time performance!

Jazzmania also includes a live and silent auction, with unique and desirable items such as vacation packages, tickets to top events, special dinner packages, in-home concerts, and fine artwork. The auction will feature mobile bidding and will include the Small Works Art Exhibit and Auction.

Another special part of Jazzmania is the the NJW Heritage Award, presented annually to a person who has made major contributions to the jazz community over an extended period of time.

Congratulations to last year's winner, Chester Thompson.  The audience listened raptly to video tributes from many of Chester's friends and colleagues from all over the world. In the words of former NJW Board member Kirk Whalum, "Chester sets the standard."
